Review of Disney World

Disney World is an immense experience and is split into 4 separate theme parks plus assorted water parks, amusement centres and other entertainments. It is not an experience that can be rushed. Everyone has their favourite park, and within each park there are favourite rides, and each year sees the addition of yet another new attraction. It is a real challenge to see the best of each park without overlooking the fun of the smaller offerings.

Disney World is made up of the following individual parks.

1) Magic Kingdom - best for small children and character dining. You cannot beat the Royal Table inside Cinderella Castle
2) Disney-MGM Film Park - lots of fun for older children and movie lovers
3) Epcot - contains pavilions for 12 countries set around a lake, plus new rides like Mission: Space! and Soarin'
4) Animal Kingdom - a quieter park that suffers from bottlenecks, but has spectacular rides like Everest, Dinosaur & Kilimanjaro Safaris

We will look at each one in turn.

Magic Kingdom

Here you will find such favourites as Cinderella Castle, Space Mountain & Haunted Mansion. This park is in turn split into 5 main areas:

Adventureland - home to the Pirates of the Caribbean, the Swiss Family Treehouse & The Jungle Cruise
Frontierland - has Splash Mountain, the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the Haunted Mansion and the raft to Tom Sawyer Island
FantasyLand - (arrghhh, help me!) is where you will find It's A Small World, Dumbo, Mickey's Toontown Fair, Mad Hatter's Tea Party and a host of child-friendly rides
TomorrowLand - come here for Space Mountain & Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Main Street - this row of fun shops leads directly to the centerpiece : Cinderella Castle.
